HIGH SCHOOL COUNSELING OFFICE

Hello! My name is Sam Sadler and I am so excited to be the school counselor at OABCIG High School!

 A little about me:

I was born and raised in North Eastern South Dakota and moved to Ida Grove in the Fall of 2018. I currently live in Battle Creek with my husband, our son, and our two dogs.

I have a Bachelors degree in psychology and marketing from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and a Masters degree in professional school counseling from Buena Vista University.

I'm so excited to get to know all the students and have a fantastic school year!

MENTOR PROGRAM

OABCIG Mentoring matches select high schoolers with elementary students who would benefit from the extra support and encouragement a high school 'buddy' can provide.

It includes one on one 'matches' who meet once a week for half hour sessions from late fall through late April. The program goal is to help the ‘matches’ develop a friendship through activities, including get acquainted activities, games, crafts, and occasionally work on school work as needed by the mentee and recommended by the teacher.
