OABCIG MS ESports team wraps up its first season. The team played Mario Kart 8 and went 2-3 in Matches and 7-8 in Cups. The team comprised of 14, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who played against middle schools across Iowa. Currently, the ESports Team is preparing for a two-week Fortnite season. Games are on December 9th and 16th at 4 pm.

OABCIG will dismiss at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 6, for staff to participate in professional development.
While observing Red Ribbon Week, OABCIG Middle School students were given a powerful message about the dangers of drinking and driving. Guest speaker, Jr Joy shared his story about drinking and how his decision to drink and drive led to an accident that changed his life forever. Jr shares his story in hopes that the younger generations realize the dangers that come with alcohol consumption. Jr also shared how he now gives back to the rehabilitation hospital he was in through his truck show, Life Rolls On, A Truck Show for the Kids.
Today, OABCIG 6th graders were visited by Nick and Matt from The National Theatre for Children, who presented "Spend it or Save it". An interactive skit that focuses on teaching valuable life lessons about the differences in paying with cash, credit, and debit cards, how to prioritize needs over wants, and "only borrow what you can pay back".
OABCIG has immediate openings for Kitchen Staff.
OABCIG Middle School & Elementary's will recognize Red Ribbon Week from October 28- November 1st. Red Ribbon Week is the longest-running and largest drug awareness and prevention program in the United States that started in 1985.
